Clad in radiant bridal attire, Sita held the woven garland of fresh lotus and jasmine blossoms. Her heart brimmed with a blend of shy modesty and deep reverence. As majestic Rama leaned, she placed the garland around Rama’s neck. A shower of fragrant flower petals fell from above as the gods and sages showered their blessings. Rama then took a matching garland and gently placed it around Sita's neck. In that quiet exchange of glances, no words were needed. The garlands symbolized the intertwining of two souls—Dharma (righteousness) in Rama, and Bhakti (devotion) in Sita.
