This painting depicts women performing of Vat Savitri Puja, a sacred ritual of devotion, prayer, and marital well-being. Gathered around the banyan tree, the women offer prayers and tie sacred threads as they honour Savitri’s strength, faith, and enduring love. The vibrant Madhubani details celebrate tradition, community, and the blessings of family.
